About the Series
Iyengar yoga provides the necessary building blocks for skillful action in the asanas. During our 8 weeks together you will learn the basic fundamental techniques and proper alignment of the standing poses, forward bends, twists and backbending postures and sun salutations. At the end of the series you will have learned the necessary priniciples to take beginning level Iyengar or Vinyasa classes. This workshop is for true beginners and also appropriate for those who would like to refresh their memory of correct actions in the asanas.

About Jen
Jennifer Minniti teaches Iyengar Yoga and has studied at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco. Minniti is primarily studying under the direction of teacher Tony Briggs and has most recently been influenced by the teachings of Ramanand Patel. She approaches the teaching with a clear understanding of each student's potential, providing a challenging yet playful environment that allows the class to become aware of the subtle details that transform the asana practice. Minniti believes the practice of yoga to be a physical therapy that taps into and releases the inner wisdom and imagination of the body / mind experience.
