Sanity Sequences, Volume 1 with Geoffrey Roniger
Saturday, September 9, 1:30-4:30pm ($35) In order to feel sane during turbulent times, it is essential to stay grounded and connected to one's center. But the consistent everyday challenges of life inevitably cause us to lose our sense of orientation from time to time. In this workshop, students will learn a practical sequence of yoga poses that work to balance the nervous system and cultivate a strong sense of centeredness.
Double-Down Sunday Practice with Geoffrey Roniger
Sunday, September 10: 9:30am (All Levels) & 11am (Levels 2-3) Vinyasa
A Weekend Workshop with Barbara Benagh:
Deep Listening - The Power of Language, Sensation & Silence in Yoga (Register Here)
Friday - Sunday, Sep 15-17, 2006 $225 (Whole Workshop), $150 (Fri & Sat Only), $125 (Sun Only)
Barbara is hands-down one of The Yoga Loft's most awaited visiting teachers, and we are honored to be hosting her teaching at the studio. Barbara's slow flow approach to yoga offers a deep internal eye on the practice. During this workshop, Barbara will use asana and breathwork as the vehicle in which to explore the potency of language, wisdom of sensation, and the voice of silence as a reliable technology for informing the deep body. As Barbara sees it, the inner landscape of yoga is more about soul than muscle, more insight than alignment. It is a world of awareness and the true touchstone of yoga.
Last Sundays: Immersion Practice with Patricia Sullivan
Sunday, September 24, 11am-2pm ($35)
An accomplished sculptor, Patricia's classes are imaginative, exploratory and continuously evolving. Inside a practice that works to develop strength and flexibility, Patricia brings her life-long experience and love for alignment and kineseology, and its resulting aesthetic and healing potential.
