11th Anniversary Open House

In systems such as numerology and astrology as well as in other studies that guide people on a spiritual path, the number 11 represents everything from intuition, psychic awareness, perfection and enlightenment. It is considered being a Master or Power Number because it is a double digit. The number 11 can also be seen as an auspicious day or date for making decisions.

Of course, universal principles of balance being what they are, these representations are only meaningful when embodied. Since opening the doors in 2002, The Loft has been in a practice of cultivating awareness and moving through whatever stood in the way of this number 11 essence. Without sitting in the opposite-in the sometimes uncomfortable and messiness of reality, with all its irritations, absurdities and exasperations-one would never get to experience the potential beauty of number 11.

To celebrate the 11th anniversary of the studio and to honor the space and all of its past, current and future participants, The Loft is hosting an Open House on Saturday, May 11. Join students, Loft and Satori teachers, friends and family for music and festivities to celebrate the 11th anniversary and to forge the way for 11 more years!

The LOFT SF and Satori Yoga: Sister Studios

The Loft SF and Satori Yoga have joined together to share and expand practice and philosophy. The studios complement one another naturally and support a variety of different practices from teachers of many different traditions and modalities. Both are focused primarily on yoga as a form with the desire to maintain the essence of yoga as a teaching that arises from the intelligence of the body.

Supporting yoga classes are meditation, breathing, movement, and somatic education classes. The principles of mindfulness and a somatics perspective are underlying the offerings and operations. Mindfulness and somatics take the practice into all aspects of our lives and can help create and maintain a sustainable, organic, dynamic and creative business model.

To enhance your yoga experience, students can use Regular class cards at both studios.
